Let Reporting Help Create Change. It is important to know that when we raise awareness and support avenues, reporting increases. Increased reporting does not mean that the issue is “worse”- it means that community members are reporting and seeking help more. Nationally, we know that sexual and relationship violence continues to be an issue in every community, without exception. Be wary of potential false lows that may indicate a lack of support resources for those experiencing harm. At Emory, the information learned through all data sources helps us do better.
